Chris provides consulting for farmers, food businesses, and institutions throughout the United States and Canada. He has worked with farms from one acre up to hundreds, with engagements ranging from a single day to multiple years, depending on the needs of my clients. Chris' focus is on evaluating and improving the systems for production, finance, management, and marketing to help clients improve profits, quality of life, and resilience. Specific projects have included business planning and viability assessments. Consulting projects typically include on-site and remote work.

COACHING
Feeling stuck? Even seasoned professionals can use a coach to bring out their best performance. Chris works directly with farmers and other clients to provide coaching services in an ongoing relationship designed to increase progress towards business and personal goals. Through discussions with clients, Chris helps to identify outcomes, develop skills and insight, and implement operational and managerial changes.

Chris provides engaging workshops, webinars, full- and multiple-day courses, and keynote addresses designed to inform and inspire farmers and farm educators. Drawn from 25 years of experience in organic and local food production, his fast-paced workshops are rich with pictures and filled with stories. Chris' workshops about farm business concepts, food safety, organic vegetable production, and scaling up, have gained a reputation for fresh approaches, down-to-earth information, and honesty.
